Gokayama is well known for traditional “Gassho-style” houses and is designated a World Heritage site. It wins three stars, or the top grade, of the famous tourism guidebook, Michelin Green Guide Japon, and surrounding historic spots also win two stars. Gokasanso is a hotel located in Gokayama Onsen hot springs near Gokayama and well situated for visiting the World Heritage site. We renovated the building in April 2009. All rooms and facilities are very clean and you can stay very comfortably.
